Purchase Policy
Here at SunnieBunnie Rabbitry, we strive to produce healthy top of the
line, quality rabbits.
We enjoy, love, and take pride in every rabbit that is produced here.
Our rabbits for sale are generally categorized as either Show Quality or Brood Quality. The determining category factors are listed below:
Show Quality
Prospective show rabbits that have Minor to No Faults at the time of sale. Show prospect is defined as the ability to compete in shows, not necessarily
win or place high in shows it is entered.
Purchase price of these rabbits include:
- 3 Generation Pedigree (4 & 5 Generation offered if available)
- Registration Papers (if registered)
-
Any winnings if previously shown (Legs, Ribbons, Comment Cards)
- Written Health Statement (See Below)
- Transition Supply of Feed and Timothy Hay
Brood Quality
Rabbits that may have Minor to Major Faults and/or Disqualifications at
the time of sale that could render them unshowable. Major Faults and/or Disqualifications may
include, but not limited to: Oversized, Color, Color Pattern (Heavy/Light),
Ear length,Overall Type/Balance, Missing or mismatched Toe Nails. These Faults
and/or Disqualifications however, may not hinder their capabilities of
producing show prospective rabbits.
Purchase price of these rabbits include:
- 3 Generation Pedigree (4 & 5 Generation offered if available)
- Registration Papers (if registered)
-
Any winnings if previously shown (Legs, Ribbons, Comment Cards)

Transition Supply of Feed and Timothy Hay
Purchasing Bred Does
Stud/Breeding fee is included in the purchase price. This only covers
the breeding to one buck. If the doe does not conceive a live litter with
the first breeding, you may bring the doe back for a rebreeding to the
same buck, up to 2 times. If a live litter of kits is not produced after 3 attempted breedings to
one buck, you have the option to have her bred to a different buck with
an additional cost of a Stud fee (Fee to be determined based on the Buck
of Choice).
Jr’s Under 4 Months
Since Juniors are constantly growing and developing, not to mention it
takes time for their coat to come into prime showing condition, if showable,
Prices for Jr's under 4 months of age will be determined based on a Sliding
Scale starting at $35. If a certain Jr. is developing exceptionally well,
this price will be higher to reflect it's potential. Same goes for the
opposite, if a certain Jr. is not of a showable variety or is slow at developing,
or seems a bit out of balance in body type, the price may be reduced in
consideration of these factors.
Pet Sales
In order to weed out impulse buyers and better insure rabbits go to the
best homes possible, I require a 3 week waiting period. Additional weeks of waiting may be required if the rabbit was chosen as
a young kit. No rabbit will leave the Rabbitry prior to 8 weeks of age.
This waiting period will also allow ample time for the new owners to discuss
and prepare for the rabbits arrival. This waiting period may also be shortened
to 1 or 2 weeks ONLY IF you have a written referral by a Veterinarian.
The process for purchasing a rabbit for a pet is as follows:
- You will first be encouraged to set up an appointment to see what rabbits
are available for purchase.
- At your 1st appointment, you will be introduced to available rabbits
as well as full grown adults for purposes of mature size expectations. You are welcome to choose and reserve
any rabbits available.
I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
-
There will then be the 3 week waiting period - please use this time to
ask more questions
and prepare for your new rabbits arrival, that's what it's there for.
- After the waiting period has ended, you are welcome to set up an appointment
to pick up your chosen rabbit and welcome it home. Payment in full is due at the time of pick
up.
The designated sale price for pet rabbits is $25. I do not require a deposit
to reserve a pet rabbit, however if contact is not maintained after your
initial visit, the rabbit will then be reoffered for sale and your choice
is forfeited. The purchase of pet rabbits include:
-
Bunny "Birth" Certificate
-
Written Health Statement
-
Transition Supply of Feed and Timothy Hay
-
Bunny Care Information pamphlet
Pedigree's ARE NOT included. If you later decide that you would like to breed your rabbit, I will be more than happy to discuss the option and
possibilities with you. Please do not breed your rabbit prior to having a consultation with me and having your rabbit examined.

The order shall be paid for by the Purchaser to KW Cages and note that

additional cost.

from $100.00 to $300.00. This charge is the airline’s cargo/freight/air shipment charges, and is
separate from the cost of the rabbit and above quoted additional items.
Please also note: Airlines will not ship live animals if the temperature
exceeds 85ºF or drops below 35ºF, unless a Statement of Acclimation is
issued by a vet. My Vet issues this statement on the Health Certificate
up to 90ºF and depending on current conditions, may issue up to 95ºF, however
this is very rare if ever.
If at any time the Purchaser decides to back out of the sale after shipping
arrangements have been made… we will happily ship any of the above items
(Transport Cage, Water bottle, and Food Crock) that may have already been
purchased directly to you at your expense. If you choose not to have the items shipped to you, it will be considered
donated property of SunnieBunnie Rabbitry, no cash refunds will be offered. Vet Exams and Health Certificate payments WILL NOT be refunded if the exam has been completed.
I take great pride in the quality and health of every rabbit that enters
and leaves my rabbitry. I will not knowingly sell a rabbit that is Aggressive, Ill or Diseased. I will inform you of any genetic defects or genetic traits (good &
bad) that are known prior to sale.
SunnieBunnie Rabbitry will not honor any Returns or Refunds for Illness,
Disease, or Death of any rabbit sold once it has been introduced to your
herd or housed with other animals. If a rabbit shows signs of Aggression, Illness, Disease, or Dies prior
to being introduced to your herd (maximum within 7 days of sale) you may
bring the rabbit or carcass back for evaluation and replacement or refund. Sorry, but we do not Reimburse Vet bills.
By completing following, we agree that at the time of sale the rabbit(s)
